A vibrant and flavorful Lemon Herb Grilled Salmon recipe featuring marinated salmon fillets grilled to perfection with fresh dill, parsley, and garlic for a healthy and delicious meal.

Ingredients

Salmon

  • 2 salmon fillets 6 oz each

Marinade

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Salmon: In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, chopped dill, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper. Pour the marinade over the salmon fillets and let them marinate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to infuse.
  2. Preheat the Grill: Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat to ensure even cooking and beautiful grill marks.
  3. Grill the Salmon: Remove the salmon fillets from the marinade, letting excess drip off. Place the fillets skin-side down on the grill and cook for 5 minutes. Flip the salmon and grill for an additional 5 minutes or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and is cooked through.
  4. Serve: Plate the grilled salmon and garnish with additional fresh herbs and lemon wedges. For a complete meal, serve alongside a side of asparagus or a fresh salad.

Notes

  • For best results, use fresh wild-caught salmon.
  • Marinating the salmon for longer than 30 minutes, up to 1 hour, will intensify the flavor.
  • If you don’t have a grill, a grill pan or broiler can be used as an alternative.
  • Use fresh herbs for the best flavor; dried herbs will not provide the same vibrant taste.
  • Ensure the grill is properly preheated to prevent the salmon from sticking.
